Catalan Designers take to the September Catwalk
28 September, 2010
September is full of fashion offers. If only a few days ago, Toni Franscesc and Custo were flooding the catwalk of New York with their designs for next season, the turn has now been passed over to Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week.
The State’s capital city has experienced the to and fro of Catalan designers who were working on the final touches to their collections up to the last minute. The public staging of Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week has been a great opportunity to promote new collections, the latest being autumn-summer 2011. As a result, there is an increasing number of creators in the programme each year. This year, Ailanto, Lydia Delgado, Maria Escoté, Guillermina Baeza and TCN are just some of the numerous Catalan Designers that did not want to miss their engagement with the Madrid catwalk. Some are unconditional like Lydia Delgado, who has been participating for many years, and Sita Murt, who after participating in the disappeared Passarel·la Gaudí and Barcelona, she also went to Cibeles. Before showing her work in Madrid, the designer from Igualada modelled at the end of August for Taipei in Style, one of the most renowned catwalks in Asia.
